Love Your Neighbour

The second is this: Love your neighbour as yourself. There is no commandment greater than these.

— Mark 12:31

Jesus distilled the entire law into two commands: love God and love people. Loving our neighbour is not a feeling — it is a choice and an action. It means noticing the person who is overlooked, speaking kindly when it would be easier to be harsh, and giving generously when it costs us something. Your neighbour is not just the person next door; it is the colleague who frustrates you, the stranger who needs help, the family member who is difficult to love. Today, look for one practical way to love someone well.

Prayer

Jesus, give me eyes to see the people around me the way You see them. Help me to love not just in words but in action. Show me one person I can serve today. Amen.
